A Red List entry is like one or more "if" statements regarding the content of a digital certificate that is examined during the authentication process of a remote access VPN end-user. For example, "if" the user is a member of the finance organization of Acme Incorporated, and "if" the user's certificate was issued by the Atlanta certificate authority, then "do not allow connections and terminate any existing ones in real time."
Red List rules are created by an administrator via the BorderGuard Management Console. The Management Console then automatically distributes these rules to the respective BorderGuard VPN appliances where they are enforced.
