Blue Ridge Networks Introduces New DoD Remote Access Solution with PKI Compliance and FIPS 140-2 Validation on Wyse Thin Clients

Secure Wyse Thin Client Solution Enables Virus-Free, Cost-Effective
Architecture in Easy-to-Deploy Format

Chantilly, VA – July 10, 2007 – Blue Ridge Networks™, the premier provider of high assurance security solutions to business and government, today announced the availability of its Blue Ridge/Secure Thin Client PKI™ solution, optimized to work on Wyse thin clients. This solution is specifically designed for the DoD and cost-effectively addresses the highly-publicized problems of remote workers gaining enterprise access with unauthorized or unwanted computers. http://www.blueridgenetworks.com/products/thin-client-dod/

With the new solution, organizations can quickly deploy remote access security that is virus free, PKI-compliant for CAC card use, FIPS 140-2 validated, and can provide secondary authentication with cryptographic logon to Microsoft’s Active Directory Service.

Mike Fumai, CEO of Blue Ridge Networks stated that "for the first time, with the introduction of this new solution, DoD will be able to overcome a problem that has been a plague for years; secure remote access from telework users. We are very proud to be joined by our partner providers in this innovative joint solution."

"This solution, from our partner Blue Ridge Networks, greatly enhances the value of our Wyse thin clients over traditional desktop PCs," said Ricardo Antuna, VP Business Development for Wyse Technology. "This is because it delivers on the key criteria government agencies are looking for including greater security, a lower TCO, and easier network management."

The self-healing secure thin client solution overcomes the problems associated with user access from personal computers that can introduce malware into the enterprise. Blue Ridge/Secure Thin Client PKI is incorporated into a specially configured Wyse S90 thin computer. The solution is also supported by compatible technology from Tumbleweed www.tumbleweed.com, and ActivIdentity, www.actividentity.com, all resulting in an innovative and seamless solution.

The Blue Ridge/Secure Thin Client PKI is available to the Department of Defense today, with pricing starting at less than $500 per user. For more information on this specific offering, contact a Blue Ridge representative at 1-800-722-1168 or email info@blueridgenetworks.com.
