Blue Ridge Networks Announces 5-Year Contract to Secure United States Attorneys Office Communications Nationwide
HSRA Project enables high speed access, increased mobility, solid security
CHANTILLY, Va.- May 22, 2006 - Blue Ridge Networks™, the premier provider of secure communications products and managed virtual private network (VPN) services, announced today that the Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA) awarded Blue Ridge Networks a five-year, blanket purchase agreement to provide an Enterprise Managed Secure VPN that will support nationwide secure remote access. The High Speed Remote Access (HSRA) project will support up to 14,000 users across 254 United States Attorneys offices located throughout the U.S and U.S. Territories.
Under the agreement, Blue Ridge Networks will implement a secure managed VPN based around the BorderGuard® secure communications platform. The company will also provide a 24x7x365 help desk, provisioning, and a proactive trouble alert and maintenance system. HSRA end-users who require secure VPN access will be online in less than 24 hours enabling EOUSA to leverage all Internet access media, including Wi-Fi, dial-up, DSL, cable modem, and dedicated circuits.
"With government facing the same pressures to maximize resources as the private sector, resources can now go a lot further," noted Blue Ridge Networks' CEO, Tony Russo. "Our customers reap all the benefits of outsourcing the VPN function such as cost saving and resource maximization. They rely on a technology that has an unblemished eleven year history - no reported vulnerabilities. In a time when competing solutions see 10 or more critical vulnerabilities in a 3-year period, it's a huge relief to our customers to know important communications are well protected."
