Blue Ridge Networks Names Michael Fumai Executive Vice President of Sales

Fumai's experience bolsters company's efforts to raise
network security in commercial sectors

CHANTILLY, Va.- April 27, 2006 - Blue Ridge Networks™, the premier provider of secure communications products and managed virtual private network (VPN) services, today announced Michael Fumai as its Executive Vice President of Sales and Channels. Fumai will spearhead direct sales efforts, while directing the expansion of the company's channel program.

"I've always had great respect for Mike's accomplishments; when we worked together at MCI and in recent years." said Tony Russo Blue Ridge Networks President and CEO. Russo and Fumai collaborated on the creation and growth of MCI's Internet and global data portfolio. "The timing of Mike joining Blue Ridge can't be better. Government, where we've been very successful for nearly 10 years, has led the way when it comes to network security. Now, private enterprise is demanding better security solutions and that market will play a bigger role in our business going forward."

In his 25 year career, Fumai has held direct sales, sales management and marketing management positions with Fortune 2000 corporations. Before joining Blue Ridge Networks, he was Senior Vice President, Global Sales, for Cyveillance, a provider of online risk monitoring and management solutions.

"What attracted me to Blue Ridge Networks was that the company has a set of capabilities that do things for organizations that no other company's products can do. Blue Ridge Networks is fortunate to have customers with such high security requirements. The product set and the quality of those products perfectly matches needs of security-conscious government and commercial sectors today," said Fumai. "We will continue to work with Defense and Civilian government agencies to meet important directives such as HSPD-12 and DoD PKI. And as demands rise for secure communications across the private sector, we'll be able to bring organizations levels of security they never thought were possible."

Prior to his role at Cyveillance, Fumai served as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales & Channels at Commerce One/Appnet, (now Perfect Commerce). Previously, Fumai spent 14 years at MCI in various positions, including Executive Director, Strategic Services.

Fumai holds a Bachelor's degree in Business and Finance from Mount Saint Mary's College in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
