Blue Ridge Networks Receives FIPS 140-2 Level 2 Certification
BorderGuard 3140 and 4000 VPN appliances meet stringent
government security standards
Chantilly, Va., June 22, 2004 – Blue Ridge Networks™, the innovative leader in secure communications, announced it has passed rigorous testing to obtain the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 Level 2 certification for its BorderGuard™ 3140 and 4000 VPN appliance models. As part of the Blue Ridge Networks ongoing certifications program, FIPS 140-2 rounds out the stable of accreditations the company has achieved including Common Criteria EAL2, FIPS 140-1 Level 2, the Department of Defense SPOCK validation, and HIPAA compliancy.
