Customer Support Technician

Blue Ridge Networks (BRN) is the established leader in high-security Virtual Private Networks.  We pioneered VPNs over a decade ago for use in the most security-conscious federal agencies and commercial enterprises.  BRN is aggressively moving to optimize its leading secure communications system for mobile networking environments.  We are looking for a Customer Support Technician who is an aggressive, self-motivated, results-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative work environment.

Candidates need to have the following experience:

  • 1-2 yrs experience in Help Desk environment
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems, TCP/IP
  • Experience with VPNs, remote access, and network troubleshooting a plus
  • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and in a group
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong analytical skills and detail oriented; organizational skills; proofing and editing skills
  • Strong management of deadlines and managing time-sensitive deliverables
  • Ability to recognize when escalation to supervisors is necessary
  • Requires working shifts to enable 24x7 support
